just adored the staff. very explanatory and friendly. had everything you needed and more. the room was really nice. I know I could just kind of brag about it all day.
I've been staying at the Island Inn since before I could walk, as my mom and cousin have been coming here since before I was born. We were so sad that the Inn was destroyed during the hurricane and are happy they've been able to rebuild. We stayed in the Matthews Lodge on the first floor. The room is beautiful and comfortable. The private beach is great and lends to some amazing shelling. My only complaint is not really the inn's fault but the no see ums are all over and the wife and I got bitten several times even with repellent.
Island Inn provided the perfect 4 day getaway. It’s peaceful/quiet and Ken provided the best information at check in. The property is still in some recovery mode from storm damage but our building/room was new and very nice with a perfect ocean view. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided and you can rent bikes, paddle boards, etc on site. They even saved the “bell” from the former Traditions restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.
This is the place to go for shells. And the rooms very clean , quiet. Privet beach. You can rent bikes kayaks .
