The location and view from the front porch is phenomenal. It was nice to have a pool and hot tub and they were not busy. The rooms had a bit to be desired for the $500. Door on bathroom was crocked and didn’t close. The bed frame squeaked and rattled.

Great place to stay on the island. Front porch with great complementary coffee was the place to start the day.
A great place to stay. Our room was large and comfortable, the staff was excellent, and the food was good. It’s a short walk from downtown, but at Mackinac, you walk. I am detail conscious and little things matter to me. In many mainland(?) hotels the hot water isn’t too hot, and the water pressure is low. Here the water pressure is good and the hot water is HOT. Like everything else on Mackinac, it’s pricey, but I am well satisfied with our stay.
The Madonna AARP chapter from Maryland traveled to Mackinac and we were fortunate to have reserved rooms at the Island House Hotel. They took exceptional care of our group of 46 seniors.
