Part 1 : "My Island Doctors" NIGHTMARE ! About 5 years ago I lost my Primary Team in the Baptist System. Humana provided me a list of other Primary Docs in my area. Unfortunately, I went with Island Doctors (10 Mile Rd. Pensacola Location). Everything seemed to be fine with my new primary Docs. But I did wonder why as a former "Open Heart" Patient I was not referred to a Cardiologist once a year. This is usually required for these Patients. Part 2 : This is when my relationship with Island Doctors went from bad to "Life Threating " ! About 10 days prior to my Hip Replacement, I called the office to get a non-narcotic medication for pain. I was prescribed Naproxen. At the time I had no clue as to what this medication was. Later on I found through my Pharmacist that this was an NSAID. And that 90 % of the over-the-counter pain Meds are NSAIDS. Look at all the labels (Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, and many more), next to their name in brackets is the word NSAID ! So,... read more

Dr. Blankenship and the staff are very caring and understanding.They have always been very kind to me and helped me get better with every visit. Dr. Blankenship has been my doctor for 4 years at Island Doctors and I'm happy and very lucky to have her and the staff.
