Tried this local Caribbean spot today and it did not disappoint. I ordered the jerk chicken. It was very spicy, but full of flavor and worth it. But it is jerk chicken, so that heat is expected. The service was also great. He was clearly very busy, but still kind, attentive and professional the whole time. It’s really nice to have a Caribbean restaurant that represents the culture well. I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I was on a business trip to Winchester, VA, and was recommended to Island Delight. I ordered oxtail, curry goat and dumplings. The oxtail’s meat was so tender and tasty, was wonderful! The curry goat was amazing! Both are spicy, but not too spicy, just right! Dumplings were soft inside and crispy on the outside, and it has a likkle bit of sweetness, and it’s not dry at all! I was not even that hungry, but I ate all of the dumplings, didn’t even save one for tomorrow. Super delicious!

This is "ABSOLUTELY THE BEST" Caribbean food my wife and I have eaten since we've been in Virginia. That's why we keep coming back. We've visited other restaurants offering similar food. However, none compare to Island Delights. Don't just take my word. Check it out for yourself!

I was disappointed that the restaurant had recently closed because my mother had been raving about this place for months. (A hint that I need to visit my mother more often) They now run a food truck fairly close to the original location where they now serve food. LARGE PORTIONS!
