This place was absolutely delicious! Zena was our server and she was such a delight! She was the only server and managed our table with no problems. Back to the food- best Caribbean food I have had in a long time! Five stars!!! The oxtail and escovitch fish is highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Before leaving Montgomery today, we decided to try Island Delight, and I’m so glad we did! I ordered the oxtail with collard greens, cabbage, and coco bread, and every bite was delicious. The oxtail was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and covered in a rich, savory gravy that had me wishing I had ordered another plate to take home. We were visiting from out of town and noted their posted closing time is 4:00 PM. We arrived at 3:25 PM, only to be turned away and told we couldn't dine in. If a restaurant stops seating guests after 3:00 PM, that policy needs to be clearly posted online and at the door. There were still plenty of people inside waiting for their food, so the kitchen was clearly still running. I should have listened to the other negative reviews. If you are from out of town, don't waste your time.
