10/10 would recommend. Hidden Gem. Meticulously maintained property in the Upper Keys. Steve and Sue (the property managers) were very pleasant and knowledgeable. We enjoyed their company. Add 2025 Review! Checked to see if Sue and Steve were still managing before we booked. They were and we re -booked. We had yet another amazing experience. You really feel like you’re visiting family! We may actually be back in a couple of weeks rather than next year! 2024-Clean and comfortable 1 BR cottage was the perfect getaway. My wife and I have stayed here many times in the past and even though his was the shortest stay we have ever had at Island Bay Resort, Steve and Sue made it one of the most memorable and enjoyable of all stays. We live on mainland Florida but still chose this for our anniversary trip. We made many friends and are already planning our next trip down. Thanks Sue and Steve! I recently wrote a Google review about our stay at IBR. I began by highlighting all of the many positive aspects of this 2 star resort. Throughout our 10 night stay we frequently told management what a wonderful time we were having, how beautiful the resort was, and we even mentioned several times about coming back. My wife and I stayed at Island Beach Resort for 10 days in July 2025 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Key West cabin which is right on the beach and has incredible views. Overall, the property and the cabins are small, but the utilization of space is tremendous. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate and the property itself is magnificent.
