Island Acupuncture is the only healthcare practice in the Outer Banks that specializes in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is a family of traditional medical techniques, some of which are thousands of years old. We believe that the future of optimal health care lies in the integration of more traditional complementary approaches with modern western medical approaches.

Great experience here! Iwent to the Rodanthe location. I booked a massage on vacation after several days of dealing with sciatica pain. Hillary helped so much!!! I was sore afterwards but within a day, the sciatica pain had mostly resolved and I could actually enjoy walking in the sand! Highly recommend!
Hillary and Lucille were amazing massage therapist. I had a deep tissue massage with Hillary that was the best I've ever had. Lucille gave a whole magical experience complete with essential oils and energy work. I'd highly recommend getting a massage here for your self-care. Also, the owner was so warm and welcoming in booking appointments.
My husband and I just received massages from Lucille in rodanthe. It was a wonderful experience. She really took the time to understand our needs and was really focused on making it a therapeutic and relaxing experience for us. She made sure we were very comfortable and that the pressure she was using was good. I enjoyed myself very much. If I’m ever in the area again, I would gladly return.
