This was a nice and enjoyable evening for my wife and I. The restaurant is unique because of its history and the vault that is still in the building. There is an attempt to make this an upscale restaurant and the prices reflect that. There is a little TLC they should consider before this is elevated to that status. All said, this was a nice meal. Just wish they would have had someone playing the piano. Live music would have much more romantic than the piped in songs.
We were looking for something different but also delicious. We were highly disappointed by our entrees. I had shrimp stuffed with crab (Shrimp Isabella), almost ever bite I had I was chewing on shells. My husband has scallops with crabmeat in linguine, and he also had several shells in his food. The Scallops didn’t even have a soft sear on them. For nearly $40 per plate, I expected better. The salad and appetizer were good. The wine was warm.
This was our go to place for Italian food. I'm not so sure now. I never read any reviews and made the mistake of ordering Shrimp Isabella. The menu describes this as butterfly shrimp with lump crab. This is BS. You get 4 medium shrimp, each on a mound of what I can only describe as cat food with crab shell pieces. Very disappointing to say the least. In fact all of our apps. and entrees were less than memorable.
