I'll be kind. I have such fine memories of Isaac's, and after many years away I still miss having daily access to their chicken salad and old Anthurium sandwich. I don't know if the chicken salad has changed, and I have no idea when they added the "brewery" aspect to this place, but every few years I drive through the area and make a point of visiting Isaac's. I keep giving this place a chance and it keeps failing. It is never busy...because it's just bad. Kitchen and service is slow, even when there aren't many people. Cooked food is cold, and all food is bland. Tomato soup is brown - did they add beef stock or just use last week's leftover that kept being reheated and cooked down? And the little things - you have to ask for pickles now. Like, there's a giant pickle bar sign from the past when it must have been fun there. Now all they do is cut corners and quality. Had a meal here with my kids today. The kids meal options were poor. The chips tasted stale. My sandwich was so soggy and tasted so bad I couldn’t even eat it. The sign on the door said kids eat free but the waitress had no idea what I was talking about.
