The Irving Symphony Orchestra originated as the Irving String Orchestra in 1961. The Original group was made up of nine musicians led by the Reverend George Ferenczy, a Cistercian priest who was a member of the Original faculty at the University of Dallas. The group performed several chamber music concerts for friends at the University. Every concert I've experienced is a jewel. There are other symphonies in Irving/Las Colinas, but ISO is the original, the OG, and has the best maestro, Hector Guzman who recruits the best musicians. I have lived in Irving since 1963.
Every concert I've experienced is a jewel. There are other symphonies in Irving/Las Colinas, but ISO is the original, the OG, and has the best maestro, Hector Guzman who recruits the best musicians. I have lived in Irving since 1963.
We went to the "American Salute" on Veteran's Day and enjoyed the music of Rodgers, Gershwin, and Gould. But they also included both Russ Hewitt and Eduardo Rojas specials with the Symphony. We went to see Russ Hewitt, but the whole concert was well done.
The Irving Symphony has a long and illustrious history of bringing fine musical experiences to the metroplex. It never disappoints.
