Absolutely Terrible Experience with Iron Port Mechanical I spent $5047 at Iron Port Mechanical, and my car is still in the exact same condition after 3 weeks. They didn’t even bother running basic diagnostic tests to ensure they were addressing the issue. When I asked why they didn’t perform tests like a leak-down test, compression tests, or coolant exhaust gas leak tests, the head mechanic told me it was “too much effort.” When I requested proof of any tests being performed, they were unable to supply any. Rang up to book car in for gearbox oil change quoted $420 went in pick it up and charged $880 absolute joke
Paid $325 for an aircon re-gas. Got told they do testing to check for leaks etc. 3 days later it was back to blowing hot air, and was told there was a 2 day refund policy with aircon. How convenient… Not to mention I was told the tests may not be accurate due to the test vacuum actually closing potential hair cracks/leaks. Was told it could be a condenser which ball park figure of 1.6k to fix with re-gas “complementary”. Wicked 🤙
