Established in 2008. Like many great inventions, Iron Tribe Fitness was born of necessity and frustration. In 2008, Forrest Walden wanted a place to do group-based workouts with friends. But he couldn't find any gyms in the Birmingham, AL area with the right space and equipment. So he started his own gym -- in his garage. I really loved my experience with the gym. I was fortunate to get a promotional month and took full advantage. Amy was amazing. Patient and offered lots of encouragement and additional attention and support. She was knowledgeable, intelligent and I felt safe under her guidance. I am under 5 feet tall so I did not fit the bike, even on its lowest setting. She gave me alternative options for cardio. The best overall gym experiences I’ve ever had. Feels like a family where most gyms make you feel like just another paying customer. Everyone is so supportive of each other and the trainers and owner genuinely care about and are invested in your personal goals and success. I’ve seen exponential strength and aesthetic gains since I began to train here. This gym is a Nola Gem!
