Please take the five minute drive off of I-35 to go experience the best barbecue in Kansas, maybe the BEST in the central states! This little dive is open Thursdays and Saturdays. A picture is worth 1,000 words, but the brisket here will leave you speechless. Nowhere near Wichita will you find brisket that is cooked with so much love, care, and most importantly- FLAVOR. I also tried the burnt ends during my visit, and they did not disappoint! The most perfectly seasoned, insanely tender and juicy BBQ in the area. Maybe even the state. Let me start off by saying this, there are 2 great bbq places in this area and this is the other one. I stopped in on Saturday before closing time and I am glad I did. I ordered everything they offered except for the chicken, I mean burnt ends brisket and pulled pork, priorities. Next time however chicken will be on my plate. We ordered 15 lb of brisket a large pan of baked beans and macaroni and cheese for a birthday party. I ordered all of this through the owner ahead of time and the owner was very easy to deal with. The food was very good it was ready when we needed it to be ready we would definitely buy from here again
Friendly service. Everyone welcomes you and appreciates your presence. Food is amazing. We have purchased in bulk for take home and individual meals. Both are superior to chain bbq places. Iron Jacket is worth the drive. You won’t be disappointed!
