Complete Weddings + Events Des Moines loves working with Kim and the Irishman Acres team! Kim's passion for events and creating lasting memories is infectious. The venue is also gorgeous! Unique, even among the barn venues of the area, and decorated with so much warmth and coziness, it's the perfect setting to start your forever!
Attended a wedding and reception at this venue. Outside seating was a bit odd with a combination of benches and chairs. Those sitting in chairs have a hard time seeing around the people ahead of them on the taller benches. Seating faces towards the west so sun in your eyes during the ceremony. Polk County Sheriff's deputy 77-150 stood guard at the end of the bar for a couple hours. This was not a rough crowd so don't Polk County sheriff's patrols have better public safety duties to attend to than wedding receptions.
We cannot recommend Irishman Acres enough. Kim and Sierra were amazing to work with from start to finish. This wedding venue comes with all tables, chairs, table linens, and a wide variety of decor that made our day so much smoother. What you see is what you get for the package cost, and they don’t nickel and dime you - something we found pretty uncommon in our area! Our experience having our wedding/reception at the Clover Barn was awesome. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful and well managed, but Kim and her staff were so helpful in helping put together the perfect ceremony and reception to make it the day we always dreamed of!
