My family has been a patient of hers for years. She listens to our concerns and tries to get to the root of the problem.
Irene takes all the time needed when I visit with older friends. She listens carefully and patiently explains- sometimes several times.
I needed a doctor in the area, so I thought I'd try her as my insurance was accepted there. Well, my first and last visit was horrible! She tried telling my specialist was not needed, kept calling my chronic illness a problem, and said i could get a cure, which I can't. She was straight up rude.
I'm noticing a trend with the other reviews. I went in after suffering from a sinus infection for 6 days and she refused to provide me with antibiotics and said I had to wait 4 more days to confirm if it was bacterial or viral. She must have never had a sinus infection before because asking someone to live with a sinus infection for 10 days and no treatment is pure evil. Lets just say I am no longer her patient.
She refused to refill a medication I had been on for 7 years. It was non-addictive (Zoloft). She had little knowledge of what it was and did not trust it so she gave me allergy medicine instead. Took 1.5 more months and a new doctor to receive my medicine. I went once and she told me to do an STD test because I met a statistic, I said no but she persisted so I eventually agreed; had to pay out of pocket. I just think it was inconsiderate and it still bothers me 3 years later.
Horrible. Doesn't listen to you as a patient. Has seen me roughly 7 times and knows absolutely nothing about me or my health. Never does a proper exam. Has entirely messed up my prescriptions multiple times, and because of that I have waited for days for them to be fixed (I am a Type 1 Diabetic who relies on insulin to survive, no it's no laughing matter). I DO NOT recommend seeing her at all.
