Awful experience, audited my 2022 return and didn't notify me till 2025. Got charged interest for 3 years without a notification.
I was sent a letter stating another w-2 from the same company was received by the ia dept of revenue. I didn't get one, but im now owning an additional $1700 + in taxes. After eleven calls and email to Cara asking for clarification, one return call with no answers given, (I was driving and couldn't answer). I had to pay knowing this is incorrect, because Cara is radio silent, so I could renew plates on vehicles. I know they are understaffed and empathize with the current state of government. I had a fantastic call with an individual named " J " . This individual walked me through step by step how to properly do things for my new business. J was super kind and knew exactly what I needed to do she made it a breeze !
Not sure why there are not higher ratings. The person who helped me, J, went above and beyond to walk me through poages and pages of paperwork. J is patient, knowledgable and understands how to adjust how she communicates without nonverbal cues. Very impressive! Thanks J!
