Very understaffed ER .No doctor seen me after waiting for 4 hours,was told I should have gone to my GP.Thats a joke ,can't get appointment with any gp in Inverell. The GP clinic at Hospital also a joke,1 overworked doctor,couldn't even write me a prescription for my current medication. Lovely nurse at Clinic reception was very good but .
Spent 4 hours in emergency just to be given a vague answer as to what could be wrong (male doctor seemed to think period, this was definitely not the case) and had to actually go find them to see what was happening as they forgot about me after the change of staff in the morning. Hopeless and always is the same experience whenever I or a family member has needed emergency care. To update I had a ruptured cyst, ended up going to a doctor elsewhere to get the help I needed. Was very lucky to be able to get an appointment.
The extreme lack of staff makes this hospital not even worth existing. Bloody hopeless! It seems admin on phones don’t work at weekends? As a result i can’t check on a relative!
