Interra Homes is a great company to work with as a contractor. The project managers are very responsive and easy to work with.
We bought a condominium in Redstone Farms in Kalamazoo from Interra Homes in 2022 when prices were high and builders were stretched thin. All in all we are pleased with our home. But the process and product were tarnished by quality of work issues and failure of some employees to appreciate the value of a customer-focused orientation to their job. The subcontractors seem to be willing to leave issues (and costs for the condo owners to deal with later. (lawn prep, eave gutters, downspout drains)
Interra builds a quality home however you have to stay on them and call out ALL things you see within the 1 year warranty that may not be right. We did upgrade mostly everything including the pantry door to a frosted glass one that I paid extra for. They did mention that’s usually a JTB level picking. I didn’t care I’m paying for it? And as far as the carpet upgrade we did, the Mohawk carpet is still cheap quality and not much of an “upgrade”.
