We are huge fans of International. Our kids are thriving academically; reading, writing and talking in French; and are quickly becoming independent and curious young adults. We've been particularly impressed with the teachers, how well they handle the classes, how they've inspired our kids to grow into students, and the level of personal attention they give. We could not recommend the school more.
We joined the International School in 2012, when our son was just four years old. One of the main reasons we chose this school was the impression left by the confident, self-assured, kind, and worldly students who spoke at the open house we attended. Two thumbs up. Our elder son entered in 9th grade, and graduated this year with his IB diploma (no French), and is now at college. Our younger son started in Kindergarten in the bilingual French/English program and has been there 5+ years. We love the school. The high-school experience was superb. The IB is an excellent degree, and International School of SF has 40+ years of experience teaching the IB. Our children have been attending for the last 7 years, and we absolutely love the International School of San Francisco. The community is diverse and welcoming. We love the focus on critical thinking and independence, openness to the world, and that our kids are now fluent in 2 languages. The STEM curriculum is also fantastic. Our kids get excited about all the sports and travel opportunities. I can't think of a better education for our children to get right now.
