One of the fine members of Oakland Firefighters Local 55 rescued my dog yesterday. He was on his day off when we encountered him and his lovely family up at Scotts Flat Lake in the Sierra. My 13 year old dog decided to jump off the end of the dock and the cold water was too much for him. He started to go under and I started to panic, then I heard a big splash and the next thing I knew my dog was back up on the dock safe and sound. I cannot thank this man enough for his kindness and bravery.
