I’ve had two great experiences at IAC Urgent Vets Queens this week when getting my cat treated for an eye infection. I initially brought her in as a walk-in and then came back a few days later for a treatment adjustment/re-check. Both times, the admin, doctors, and vet staff were very friendly and helpful and explained in detail the potential courses of action, prognosis, and costs. My kitten is formerly feral and can be quite skittish, but they were great with her. Her eye is improving very well and I am extremely pleased w... read more
I have been here before so it’s disappointing to have to write this review, but I was shocked by the experience I recently had. I had spoken to someone the day before my appointment to reschedule a appt I had. I rescheduled it for the next day and was on the phone with the lady for about 2 minutes while she confirmed everything and did what she had to. We brought our cat to here and were told that the X-ray and results would take about 45 minutes. However, we didn’t receive the results until 1 hour and 25 minutes later. Additionally, there was no available restroom for clients, which made the wait even more uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was frustrating due to the long delay and lack of basic facilities.
We brought our 13 year old cat here, Lily, due to a gastrointestinal emergency. Despite the circumstances, we truly felt at ease leaving her with the team at IAC Urgent Vets. Dr. Shevaun and Dr. Ingrid were incredible, explaining with detail and thoughtfully answering our many questions. Nurse Grace was super attentive, spoke English and Spanish to provide translations, and I truly believe it was her palpable care and support that helped heal Lily so quickly. An immense thank you to this team for saving my childhood pet, my ... read more
12/29 visit - Very thorough last minute examination, they discussed all my options in a timely manner and made me feel like all bases were covered for my cat. It’s nice to know there’s an emergency vet nearby in case issues ever arise again. Dr Johnson and his team were very kind and helpful, and made sure to email me all my receipts and guidelines for medicine. Also they informed me if I need to come back within 24 hrs, it’s considered a courtesy walk in visit so it’s free of charge aside from any addtl testing/lab work/med... read more
