I had an appointment at 2 o’clock today and confirmed the appointment yesterday after i Drove 2 hours to make it to my appointment the office is closed. Knocked the door to see if someone is in there and there was a lady in there that said we are closed.

My appointment was on time and the staff handled everything in less than 20 minutes.

There is no signage of this place on the building. It is the building attached or next to a restaurant called Terza. You’ll need to go in blindly and take the stairs/elevator up to the 2nd floor where you’ll see the IRS signage.

I’d be shocked if visiting the IRS is on anyone’s list of ways they want to spend an afternoon, but this office and staff make what could be a chore (or inspire shame) feel very pleasant and human. Well worth the drive from the Cities (everywhere closer to me was booked out past Tax Day). The guard was kind and hospitable, clearly explaining each portion of the screening process.
