I have a long history with IHC. 26 years to be exact and with whatever recent changes have been going on, I have never been so frustrated, helpless and frankly pissed off at a hospital in my life. From Billing to the 5 different departments, I'm transferred to just to get a question answered, to nobody communicating with each other & getting appointment details mixed. Literally the worst bill pay system ever. The sites run you around in circles trying to find out your account number, when you call you need said account #, but then the emails reminding you to pay, doesnt provide any account number?!?!?!?! Guess they truly dont want their money or else this would be made to be so much simpler with other options to look up our bill without needed an account number that you literally cannot get access to without having it already!!!
Intermountain is just worried about making a profit. The CEO’s make millions, yet they’re doing lay offs for employees who depend on their low incomes and health insurance to get by. Pathetic really.
Horrible Billing Department. Paid copays at time of service. Have receipts. A YEAR LATER- I get notice from a collection agency saying I did not pay my bill. Intermountain Healthcare had my address, why not SEND ME A BILL SO I CAN SHOW YOU THE RECEIPT???? Online portal says balance is ZERO!!!! What am I being sent to collections for then?????????
Love the doctors and care, HATE the billing department. It can take months and multiple calls to get things sorted out (to get them to fix their own mistakes), and even then, it’s not always fixed. It’s like pulling teeth to talk to a supervisor. I am afraid now to see any doctor from IHC because of the anxiety of dealing with their medical billing phone reps. What will it be like when they switch to AI rep!?! I’ve had now two awful experiences with dealing with them and I don’t want a third.
