’m extremely disappointed with the billing practices at IHC. I was told my son couldn’t have surgery unless we paid $1,100 up front, before insurance was even billed. We have PEHP insurance with a $700 deductible, and the allowable contracted amount for the procedure is $841. Yet somehow IHC is charging us over $3k. To make matters worse, we were required to pay an additional “deposit” directly to the surgeon to hold the appointment, an amount that IHC later confirmed doesn’t apply toward our deductible or out-of-pocket max.... read more

This rating is specifically about the corporate financial operations. Not the providers. These people deeply deserve a negative rating. The send statements, in my case dated December 9th, which don't arrive in the mail until December 17th. Strangely, this first bill already shows that we are in pre-collections. Where is my first bill? Or even my second bill if I am now beyond 60 days??
