The staff/surgeons are very good at their job. I did my 2 year post donation follow up and let them know I have been severly struggling but never heard back and it is hard to get through to talk to someone. I have pretty bad health issues directly from the surgery and bills that weren't covered. Be EXTREMELY sure you want to donate. Your quality of life, despite what your told, will forever be very much lessened.
Florin Butuc Has been quite patient with me and I’m very thankful for this. Thin basement membrane disease is quite confusing and I’m slowly understanding what I’m dealing with. I have to focus on my creatinine and Albumin ratio. I just get so worried when I see RBC spike so high randomly with other abnormalities. Also his nurse/ helper (forgive me for not knowing the name) AMAZING, I had found common ground with her. Before I visit with DR Florin she always lightens the mood with great stories and advice.
This lab is efficient and has a low wait time. Occasionally the order from the Doctor has to be clarified, but that is a result of the Dr. not being clear on the order, not the lab.
