So frustrating. After having a procedure on at an IHC hospital, it turned out to be out of network and I got a bill that was higher than expected. After months of calls being told that it would be taken care of, the bill ended up with collections. So my attorney contacted the collection agency and was told I could still apply for financial assistance which I did in June. I submitted the requested documents but never heard back from them. Their billing department is the biggest joke in the world
’m extremely disappointed with the billing practices at IHC. I was told my son couldn’t have surgery unless we paid $1,100 up front, before insurance was even billed. We have PEHP insurance with a $700 deductible, and the allowable contracted amount for the procedure is $841. Yet somehow IHC is charging us over $3k. To make matters worse, we were required to pay an additional “deposit” directly to the surgeon to hold the appointment, an amount that IHC later confirmed doesn’t apply toward our deductible or out-of-pocket max.... read more
