Won't go back – Waiter was very rude and service was slow, selection of beers is scarce and they only had some fast food. Ambience is typical taver, with no highlights whatsoever, and prices are above average. Surely won't go back
Busy bar at lunch time – We went with a group for lunch, and ordered grilled cheese with tomato. When the sandwich came without the tomato we asked the server to correct it. She said do you just want some tomatoes? Or do you want a new sandwich? Well you can't exactly add tomatoes to a grilled cheese with all the melting and all. She took the original plate with the salad and eventually returned with the correct sandwich. Since she took the original salad we then had to request that again. While I understand the server clear... read more
Hidden gem in Theatre Disctrict – Stopped in at Intermission Tavern last night before a show and was very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is much like any hole in the wall bar in Boston - long bar down the right wall, tables along the left wall - but the food was really delicious. They do have a great Martini menu. If I recall correctly, most Martini's were $9 each. I highly recommend the "Dancing in the Dark" Martini. Mmmm... The dinner menu consisted of typical pub food, plus a few salads and entrees. I opted for the ... read more
Great neighborhood pub – If you are looking for a burger - skip the chains (Rock Bottom, Benegens) and enjoy a real cozy, quint pub atmosphere. It is clean, the service is great and the food is yummy.
Ok place – Convenient location. Service could be better. Would not go back. Burger was undercooked.
Great Place to Eat and Drink – Awesome Bar! Their mozzarella and tomato salad is to die for and their martini's aren't too bad either. It is a great bar to hang out with friends or meet a friend.
Breath of fresh air in sea of pretentious clubs – We went here after ditching a pretentious club that ended up being a bad time due to rude staff. We loved the Intermission - it was comfortable and nice and the prices are great - drinks were yummy. I'd go again.
Great New Place! – The theater district is full of great dance clubs and restaurants, but there was never a great neighborhood bar (unless you like the bright flourescent lights and "special ladies" next door at the Tam). The Tavern is beautiful and cozy, never too crowded, they have an excellent bartender named Tony (he always seems to be there) that will whip you up one of his daily created new martini concoctions, the food is excellent, and it's a casual yet sophisticated crowd. It's perfect for hanging out with a loved o... read more
Casual Theatre District hangout provides ticket holders with an affordable spot for a pre-show bite. – In Short Open day and night, the Intermission Tavern is guaranteed to be open before or after one's show, whether it's a matinee or evening performance. Exposed brick walls and theatre posters lend a relaxed, casual vibe, and prices are unusually affordable, given the neighborhood (entrees average around $15). Burgers and create-your-own sandwiches are ideal for those in a hurry, and entrees include peppercorn-encrusted por... read more
