About this business

There is nothing glamorous about the interiors of this eatery but don't let that deter you from eating here. The name, Intermezzo, is synonymous with authentic food, and excellent service. The ambiance is cozy, accented with lots of red lights and quite comforting. The menu comprises Italian favorites prepared using the freshest ingredients. Garden vegetable soup, crispy calamari with dipping sauce and imported cured meat-n-cheese certainly makes the meal interesting. Enjoy the full bar and lounge while comfortably watching ... read more

I Thing is the best italian small restaurant in the City. The food is great especially the Lasagna. I do not thing you can find anything near as good as Angolo a sud. Averageon price is realy good too .I went last week to try just opposite the focaccia of Spianata, honestly nothing to compare. When you walk in there it look like beeing in Italy. Over all Really nice!!!!!!.

Terrible service, mediocre food – Visited for brunch on a Saturday afternoon to the worst service I've had in the city. The female waitress took about 15-20 minutes to come to our table to take a drink order. She recommended we get the "all you can drink bloody mary's and mimosas for $12 and a two hour limit." It was around 3:00 and she failed to mention it ended at 4:00. I finished my first drink and waited until about 3:50 until the waitress was to be found to order another. She was in the corner texting on her phone ignor... read more

Fantastic Homemade Lasagna and the food has a lot of flavor – This is a great Italian restaurant. The Lasagna and other pasta I've had is great. You can even request whole wheat pasta if you're in a healthy eating mood. Enjoy!

Editorial Review – Traditional Italian is served along with a vast wine list in a setting adorned with chic modern decor.

Intermezz-ohh HECK YES!!! – If you want amazing Italian food, great service, fabulous drinks, & an ambiance that perfectly combines trendy with good, old-fashioned cooking....then look no further! This was my first time eating here & I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. I ordered the basic spaghetti with marinara sauce & I found myself literally scraping up every last morsel. It was cooked to perfection & I didn't want it to be over. Needless to say, there were absolutely no leftovers. This little slice of Italian heaven... read more

Cozy, tasty, romantic – Here are the basic comments. * Food: It's good. I'd say it's in the upper-middle class section of Italian restaurants. * Price: Reasonable. Pasta is in the $10-15 dollar range. * Atmosphere: Dark, reddish hues on the walls. Candle-lit. There isn't a terribly large amount of seating, but the ceilings are high enough so that you don't feel cramped. The music is generally that sort of generic, inoffensive, repetitious electronica that says "hip" to a certain class of aging people.
