Amazing location with okayish rooms. It's a old building with bare minimum amenities. Has great pool though!
I was weary to book after reading so many bad reviews, but my family absolutely loved staying here. We had a one bedroom suite in the Grand Tower that was just lovely and way larger than I had anticipated (2 bathrooms!) The AC was sufficient during the Chicago heatwave and the king bed was super comfortable. My only complaint about the room is that the street noise was quite loud at night but I was the only one bothered and just popped in some ear plugs. This hotel makes you feel like family. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable about the hotel: Pro Tip, ask for a free room upgrade - you'll probably get it. The MJ bar downstairs has great drinks - the mimosas are on point with fresh OJ and great bubbly. The rooms have great views and are very clean. There is a good- sized Starbucks integrated in the downstairs. Great place for kids as the pool is HUGE and indoor.
