My employer uses IMS for our flexible benefits plan. Through the years, the IMS system has been easy to navigate. I typically use the flex spending card (like a credit card), and it makes things a breeze. Recently, as the end of the fiscal year for IMS was approaching, I needed help sorting through a situation. The worst compared to my Previous insurers
Useless company. I had to use them for a COBRA coverage through the state. They have no automated process so you have to mail in information with your SSN and bank account information written on it. There is no way to check the progress of your paperwork. I have now been charged for four months of coverage all at once and the insurance company still says I do not have active coverage. I am currently in contact with the state to notify them of this mess. They need to drop this company and find a real provider to work with.
Premiums are OUTRAGEOUS. They seem to be a useless, overpriced middle man because Medcost before them was $400 a month and now that I'm with a company that uses IMS but so offers Medcost, it's $1,200 a month for only slightly better coverage. And they won't cover my baby's helmet for his flat head when there was an obvious medical necessity. Unbelievable
