My wife brought her vehicle in for an oil change and state inspection, her vehicle was failed for a brake light that she was quoted over 300 dollars to replace, and told “it’s a special kind of light and very difficult to change”. Come to find out the part that was quoted at approximately 190 dollars only costs at most 80 dollars from the manufacturer, and the 100 dollars in labor to replace it when it was nothing more than a plug and play light with no disassembly or any tools whatsoever required.
