Nursing was great but medical care almost nonexist
The ladies and gentlemen professionals I can not laud enough. They're caring, helpful professionals from the janitorial staff to the nurses, the pro's and the doctors. And let's not forget the physical therapy crew Danni, and Austin (go Eagles). My husband's care has been fantastic. The support and respect they have shown to me his wife has meant wonders. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My mom is 49, currently in her stay at Jim Thorpe following a knee replacement. Being that young and getting a knee replacement and going to rehab, paired with basically no independence can be REALLY damaging to someone self esteem and pride. But every single person I’ve met, from the nurses, to PT/OT, have made her laugh, smile, and feel like she wasn’t just a number: but a person. I fell out of bed and broke my greater triochanter after already having hip replaced June 16, then a spontaneous femur fracture. So a revision on June 26. So, I had surgery for repair Aug 20. My stay at Jim Thorpe was wonderful the nurses, techs,PT, OT, the doctors PAs all were extremely kind courteous and caring. It was my home away from home!
