This company tries to bill patients for services already covered by insurance. I had a routine mammogram at age 40, which is 100% covered by Medicaid under preventive care rules. Despite this, Integrated Imaging Consultants (through their billing partner Zotec) sent me a bill. When I checked my Explanation of Benefits, it clearly showed Medicaid already paid. My Doctor ordered a breast ultrasound for me. Vanessa Wear called me multiple times because she was upset that my Doctor ordered an ultrasound for me instead of a mammogram. I told her that I would NOT cancel my appointment and that I was staying with the appointment that my Doctor ordered for me, but thank you for letting me know your opinion about what I needed to do.
