Do not have your vehicle towed to this location with personal items in it. Things will end up missing! I called to inquire about my missing items (Michael Kors purse and Ray Ban sunglasses) and received horrible attitudes and terrible customer service from both staff and supervisor. I purchase vehicles via auction on a regular basis from a variety of companies and this is one of the worst experiences I have encountered. Firstly, the vehicle was incorrectly listed as a "run and drive," but was not suitable for me to drive off the lot where it currently remains. The Columbus location is ran by a very dishonest group of people. They will knowing sell a car with false information on the sale add. Engine size, manual vs. Auto Trans, do not believe the Vin#. Even if they know the information to be incorrect they will still sell it with the incorrect information. this is a private insurance auto auction. they are my favorite. I have had some issues with them but nothing so crazy that I would give them less than 5 stars. they are always willing to help and make sure you are happy!
After going back and forward with other auto dealerships for the past two weeks, it was amazing and refreshing to discover Insurance Auto Auctions Inc. I was blown away by the convince and professionalism provided. It reminded me my pleasant experience with Repokar Auto Auction in Los Angeles where I got a car for my sister and we both were more than satisfied with the deal! Since then we consult regularly their offers and take repokar as a reference name in estimating other auto auctions.
If you are an IAA Buyer, be very weary and stay away from buying at Akron-Canton New Philadelphia Auction. First of, this auction is at a remote location in the middle of no where and you will pay storage fees equal or more than the cost of the vehicle before you get a truck to pick up, you may even end up picking up yourself. More importantly, the Staff and especially the Manager at this location are unbelievably RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.
