The Institute of Psychoanalytic Studies is a wonderful group of people who I got to know after attending an open house and a ‘Conversation’ meeting where a topic of psychoanalytic interest was discussed. After attending those events I was pretty much hooked. The people I met at IPS were engaged, curious and welcoming— and they still are!. I'm a graduate of IPS. The program gave me a much deeper understanding of what emotional growth is and how to work effectively as an analytic therapist in private practice. My training also provided a supportive environment where I felt genuinely safe to explore and learn about things I didn't know much about when I began. I also made strong connections with other therapists and professionals at the Institute.

I decided to join the Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies because I thought my studies there would help me to become a better therapist. I didn't realize that enhancing my skills was only one of the benefits of enrolling. The Institute has provided me with a group of colleagues who are dedicated and knowledgeable. I can always turn to them if I need suggestions, supervision, resources, or recommendations. My professional life has been enhanced by my affiliation with the Institute.
