It has taken me 7.5months to write this review because I truly have not had the words to describe how wonderful Martha is and what a profound impact she had on me, my husband and our baby girl. Martha was one of the two doulas on our birthing team and attended my birth/delivery. We also took a prenatal class with her for 6 weeks so got to spend so much time with her. Where do I even begin... She is an incredibly lovely person in both her work as a doula and also in her presence as a friend and support. We hired Martha as our doula for our firstborn and couldn’t be happier with the care and consideration that Martha showed us. Our birth plan had to shift around 36 weeks after finding out our daughter was breech. Martha saved space for me to grieve the shift in the plan, and to find strength and power in my new plan. I can’t say enough good things about Martha. I had the pleasure of working with her during my postpartum period, and she was truly incredible. In every way, she was the utmost professional - going above and beyond anything I could have imagined. The newborn stage was chaotic, and the atmosphere in our home wasn’t always easy, but Martha remained calm, kind, and compassionate throughout. She held space for us in exactly the way we needed, and her presence brought so much steadiness and support.
Martha is a true gem to have! She has been my doula for the past two home births and I love her. When I hired her for the first time (birth for my second child), she allowed me to be in a safe space and assisted me in changing care at 36 weeks pregnant.
