Travis, the GM as he stated, let a paying costumer to use the restroom for employees only. I’m a paying costumer as well but would not let me use the restroom. Worst vibes. I always enjoyed coming here for a dessert after an outing. But Travis just doesn’t have that energy. He was very rude.
UPDATE: After my original experience, I wanted to provide an update because I believe good customer service deserves to be acknowledged too. Timothy Lennon, a manager at Insomnia Cookies, personally reached out to us regarding the situation. He expressed genuine concern and remorse about what happened, acknowledged that there were issues at the location, including mistakes on their part and problems with delivery drivers, and made a real effort to rectify the situation. The first night, I placed a delivery order around 9:30 PM, like I usually do. Since this restaurant uses its own delivery drivers instead of a service like Uber Eats or DoorDash, there’s no way to track the driver or select delivery priority or timing preferences. I stopped into Insomnia Cookies in Charleston about 10 minutes before closing and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from both a customer service and product standpoint. I completely understand that working late and closing shifts can be exhausting, but if the store is still open, customers should still be treated with basic professionalism and courtesy.
