Absolutely disgusted with the behaviors of the receptionist working today (June 9, 2025) she ended up hanging up the phone when I asked why the 2 messages I left were not returned, also argued about London Drugs not sending requests for medication (they sent the request twice) ....as of now my child has been out of her medication for three days, and they couldn't give a care at all....... My child has been Dr. Akin’s patient for many years. He is so kind and supportive. We have never been pressured about medication or other therapies. I love that he takes the time to allow the child and the parents to speak and share their concerns. I truly wish that it was easier to get an appointment, however, being the only child psychiatrist in town, I don’t know how he does it.
Our initial appointment was made for May 2024. We received a call 2 days prior to the appointment and told us that he wouldn't be in that they would have to reschedule us for THREE MONTHS later. Fast forward to August, we go to him. It was a great meeting we rebook for November as requested by him. We get a call 8 days prior to our appointment that we need to reschedule for the next available appointment because he won't be in...the next available appointment is the END of February.
