I visited Insight Hospital’s Emergency Department (2509 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago) on October 31, 2025, for severe abdominal pain, nausea, and constipation. This was my third visit that week. During my earlier visits, Dr. Hurkes provided compassionate and effective care. However, this last visit was completely different. Emergency Room is very clean and organized. Best medical staff on duty at Insight Hospital! Received best medical care!

If I could leave negative review they deserved it. Went to ER, feeling like passing out, sick and they “run checkups” told me I’m totally fine just some virus in my nose so just go back home and drink water. 2 days later still feeling sick went to my PCP and was diagnosed with Influenza A. What kind of ignorance these people are practicing!! While being in the room receiving IV heard nurses and doctors yelling, laughing, felt like they were partying absolutely disrespectful to quiet time need of the patients. We waited two hours at another hospital, and this place was able to get us in under 10 minutes. They were extremely friendly to my friend who was deathly ill from something he ate. I'm very thankful to this establishment and their staff, you all are wonderful!

Emergency Room is very clean and organized. Curious why the parking lot and waiting is so empty. Obviously I was referred to a different hospital. Waste of time. Best not to go there again since I was told to go to a different hospital for evaluation and treatment. Seems under staffed or doctors since on vacation from Celebrating News Year.
