Sent pants, shirts, and socks to insect shield for their professional treatment. Developed a tick issue in 2025 do wanted protection this year. Skin sprays didn’t work, not DEET or any topical or clothing spray. Insect shield treated clothes have been 100% effective. It’s been unusually wet spring here with alot of ticks. I’ve been in woods and fields riding horses, hiking, and doing fence work. I’ve had zero ticks or tick bites! Excellent service.

Since I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal (a tick-borne mammal allergy that gets worse with additional tick bites), I found and have been using insect shield products. Started with socks and spray to treat things I already had. Socks worked well enough, the spray does not work nearly as much as I had hoped at the time (all of this being tested by simply placing ticks onto my clothing and observing their reactions; I live in the woods, not a hard test to run). I've used products treated by Insect Shield through a third-party seller and been very satisfied. That seller went out of business, so I placed an order to have *my* clothes treated directly by Insect Shield. Their prices seemed a bit high to me ( $9 to treat a pair of socks???), but the service is vital to me; I hike outdoors a lot in what is locally referred to as "Tick Central".
