I recently had a deeply concerning experience with Lorton Ambulatory Surgery Center. Five days before my scheduled surgery, Kendra from their office called to inform me that I would need to pay a portion of the bill upfront, or the surgery would not proceed. Given that the surgery had been scheduled 8 to 10 weeks in advance, this last-minute notification felt inconsiderate and not patient-forward.
