Apparently management has so little faith in the customer service, or basic typing skills, of their front desk staff that they've excused them from all basic customer service duties and instead set up kiosks (that seldom work) to pawn their duties off on to customers. Why employ them at all? Hook a printer up to the kiosk and add a card reader if integration of automation is that important. Or just hire and pay people to interact with patients, like every other normal medical facility.

First mammogram experience was horrible. The technician showed no concern for discomfort and had to redo pictures which with an already unpleasant test it makes it worse. After everything she tells me I will probably have to come back because it was my first. I have no symptoms and no family history - the radiologist should be able to do their job without making the patient do it again. I continually have had a bad experience with INOVA and this facility was no different. For starters they don’t take appointments. I’ve been twice to try to get an X-ray and the first time they were ultra-sounding in the X-ray room and told me it would be two hours. The second time I arrived at 6:45am to be the first in line. I had spoke to multiple iNOVA employees to confirm the first walk in was at 7:00am. I've been trying for two days to get someone to answer the phone to schedule a procedure. I left number yesterday morning to call me back (no one did) so trying again today. Sitting here waiting. A couple of weeks ago had same experience, two days to get through.
