This place is an adorable getaway, and very close to downtown Fredericksburg. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and the free breakfast options were delicious. My only complaint is the mattress was probably 20+ years old, and left some serious back pain in the mornings.
We got married at the Old Silk Mill in Sept. 2022, and cannot recommend this venue enough!!! From when we first learned about them, to when we came to tour it, to all the pre-event communication, to the food tasting, and finally to our wedding day, every staff member we interacted and worked with was professional, approachable, kind, attentive to our needs (and wants!), and extremely accommodating. We could not have imagined a more perfect place for our wedding! The venue was absolutely stunning, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. From the breathtaking venue to the seamless coordination, everything exceeded our expectations. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and memorable it was. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dream wedding venue.
2025 update: We are so disappointed. This is the fourth time we have stayed at The Silk Mill and is likely, unfortunately, to be the final time we stay here. Two stars is generous, but the staff have been lovely, and this is why we are giving more than one. This is our fourth visit because there is a large amount of parking available, which is perfect for us on our trip. I can’t say enough good things about our wedding experience and stay at the Silk Mill! Our coordinator Shannon was excellent from start to finish, and the entire staff on site were so kind and professional. The food, drinks, and lodging were amazing and made our day so special!
