History Established in 2006. Upon retiring after 30 years in the Army, Jack and Joann Brake settled in Steilacoom, WA., in 2004. Joann fell in love with the town in 1995 when she lived there temporarily while Jack was stationed overseas in Korea. Needing something to keep themselves busy after 30 years of active military life, they decided to build a B&B on their property in 2006 and extend their hospitality to guests desiring a comfortable get-away in a peaceful, quiet environment.
