I personally feel this organization should be turned over to the GOVERNMENT as Section 8 again. This is my 1st experience with INLIVIAN. Seems I had to do all the work. Years of having my Section 8 in three states, I was only responsible for finding an apt, signing a lease, returning it to my Caseworker who took it from there! Once the process was done with approval from inspection I received my lease, paid my share, moved in and never had to contact my Caseworker again til time for 6 moths recertification. I called to see if I can get on the section 8 waiting list it clearly says that they’re taking applicants Tuesdays and Thursdays. She told me that for people that already have a voucher that didn’t make sense to me. I just want to be on the waiting list, I’m a single mother with two children Paying $1700 in rent I’m struggling with employment right now. Sometimes it feels like my point gets interpreted before I've fully explained it. I feel the staff should be fully trained on Communicating and being more respectful to understand and listen when people are calling in about their situation. Not everyone abuse their assistances. Some people are really just trying to figure it out and make sure they are doing the right thing. Sometimes I feel like conclusions are drawn before I finish speaking.
