Our family is writing this because what happened at the Ingles Pharmacy on Merrimon Avenue was not a simple oversight — it was a failure so severe that it left our brother, a 44‑year‑old man with stage‑four colorectal cancer, suffering through five days of agony that never should have happened. His fentanyl patches and hydrocodone were filled on Thursday, March 5th. We were never called. We were never notified.
