8/30/26 I was honestly pretty skeptical when my longtime veterinarian, Rachel Goldfarb, left Indy’s and Dr. Zead Al Gateny took over. It’s not always easy to feel comfortable with a new vet when you’ve built a trusting relationship with someone you know and love. After two visits with Dr. Al Gateny, though, I’m happy to say that my concerns have eased. The new vet here Dr.Zead Getany is very experienced and professional, also kind and understanding, he exam my cat who has both heart problem, AND FIP which I didn’t know until Dr Zead exam my cat and came out with an assumption fast and he performed an xray and found out my cat has a WHOLE belly of liquid and FIP, and that explained a lot of his symptoms including no food intake, no poop, and a lot of hard feelings in his little belly, on top his difficulty on breathing due to his heart condition. Dr. Zead and the team of Indy’s Place are wonderful! Dr. Zead helped us figure out what was affecting our cat Emile which led to requiring an immediate surgery. The surgery was performed successfully that very same day. Dr. Zead and the team are very supportive and have been helping with the recovery period after surgery as well. They have gone above and beyond, and we deeply appreciate their aid!
First visit to Indy’s and we were stunned at how much better this place is than several other veterinarian offices we’ve been to. Our 5 year old boxer hates the vet and needs medication to calm her just to get her in. Both the vet tech Ben and the doctor were incredibly patient and gentle. They were unfazed by her nerves and were not scared or overreactive of her nipping (never biting, just nipping the air) in response to being nervous. I appreciate that Dr. Zead was kind and patient with my fearful senior dog during a routine wellness visit. There was a billing mistake that took about 2.5 weeks and multiple follow-ups to resolve. Dr. Zead acknowledged the error, apologized, and issued a refund, which I appreciate. Based on my experience, I think the clinic's administrative workflows could be improved.
