Down right theft! My childs RESP is safer under a matress! The fees and the inhumanity of the company is unreal. I demanded a full withdrawal and filled the forms. I was told I would be contacted in 48 hours. No one has contacted me and its been two weeks! The fines are unrealistic, the operator is spoken with treated me like I was dumb and just found out im only getting HALF my contributions back!
Slow service, awful response times, too many restrictions on coverage and most of them seem really arbitrary. An awful company to deal with.
1 star for lack of 0 star. Horrible service, steadily denying claims for no just cause, they take almost a month to respond to claims, and yet it will end up as a denial. They're happy to collect premiums from plan members and their employers, yet they will be unwilling to pay back claims. It's so frustrating!!!!!!!
I don't believe that this review will lead to any meaningful change. It seems that this company is not genuinely interested in helping individuals in need. They send generic and unhelpful letters that fail to provide any real explanation or support. For example, I was on short-term disability due to cancer treatment, covered by Manulife. When it came time to transition to long-term disability, my case was transferred to Industrial Alliance.
