Dealing with iA has been the worst experience of my life- and I got hit by a truck last year. I was injured in a car accident last year, living with a traumatic brain injury as a result. iA spent 10 months "reviewing" my claim and subsequent appeal. Very disappointing experience. After several years, my actual returns have been around 1–2%, which is far below what any reasonable investor would expect especially considering the fees being charged. What’s most frustrating is that the structure of these investments (including exposure to bonds and high management fees) and their real impact on performance were not clearly explained to me at the time of opening the account.
