My som had to have an inguinal hernia repair. Dr. Szotek was so personable and easy to talk to. He answered all our questions and he is very timely if you message him on the app. He made sure we were completely at ease and that we completely understood the procedure before he did it. My son is a teenager. He was afraid but Dr. Szotek made him feel so at ease about it. He was still gonna be naturally a little bit afraid, but he felt like he was in very capable hands and so did I. I asked Dr. Szotek what the surgery would cost. I mistakenly asked him what my out of pocket cost would be, which he rightfully wouldn’t be able to know. His response to that felt unprofessional and made me feel stupid. I chose a different surgeon due to that.
My surgery went well and I was happy with everything.
