We had no water and a technician came out that morning but couldn't fix the issue, so they turned off our water and said to call a plumber. The plumber fixed the issue within a few hours and all we needed was the water turned back on, but American Water would not send someone out, saying they "already sent a technician once today" and we had to wait until tomorrow. Seven phone calls. Still no answer.
I needed the hardness of the water and the very nice person who answered my call went above and beyond to find that for me. It's 280-388 ppm if you are interested.
I wish I didnt have to give 1 star. This company is HORRIBLE!! They sent us a letter saying they had been under billing us for the last 10 months and all future bills would be corrected, which is fine. But then, they send us an $800 water bill for our “back charges”!!!! Like what!? It isn’t our fault you didn’t charge us enough! And their original letter said nothing about charging us for their previous mistake, of “under billing”! Now, they’re threatening to shut our water off because we’re refusing to pay the $800.
